Meredee Myers, under Rev. Peters, leads a 9 to 12 square dance at West School on Feb 25 to raise money for the revolving fund aiding students. Tickets handled by William Windervelde. Proceeds cover dental work, tonsil removals, and glasses for children. refreshments offered.
Robert J. Joynt of Lemars, a Palo Alto County native, visits sister Mrs. Lou Laughlin. The Lemars Globe-Post reports the Joynt family’s global spread: Dr. and Mrs. R. J. Joynt plan a two week visit from Washington DC by daughter Mrs. J. Wow ’Theman and children to Australia where Theman will head the Australian foreign service office in Melbourne. Daughter Pegay, married to career diplomat Walter Bushwalter, lives in Rio de Janeiro, Argentina, and Bob Joynt will graduate from Iowa State University and begin an internship at Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal. Only Mrs Clifford Olson remains in Des Moines, joking she would move for all the kangaroos in Australia.
