Len Sherlock, local Champlin representative, states that on Saturday February 1 Champlin took over seven Armstrong Oil station and tank properties. Armstrong Oil, founded by a gentleman from Armstrong, remains noted for notable wealth.
The mayor and four Delano Minnesota businessmen toured Emmetsburg's municipal light plant on a Wednesday evening, stayed overnight, and returned Thursday morning with information. They praised Emmetsburg as the best sighted city on their trip, noting Delano’s own distribution system and recent rate plans. They plan likely to install diesel engines paid by installment, reacting to upcoming rate increases. Mrs. Fred MecWhter of Gyliner attended as a local visitor Thursday.

Peter O Leary of Joliet Illinois was summoned Saturday by the unexpected death of his mother Mrs T J O Leary. Mrs Leary visited her son in the area each fall. Our citizens extend sympathy to Mr O Leary in his sorrow.
