Roy Davis Named Director of Handicapped Worker Center
Roy Davis of Emmetsburg was appointed director of the Handicapped Workers Center in Emmetsburg by the Palo Alto County Board of Supervisors, replacing Andy Adams who resigned to open a repair shop. Davis, a carpenter for eight years, moved from Vinton and previously worked at J. F. Anderson Lumber Co for six years, then carpentered on his own for two. The Veterans Administration disbursed 417106 to veterans and dependents in Palo Alto County in fiscal year 1970, with 227224 for compensation, 48325 for GI bill education, 47657 for insurance and indemnities, and 43900 for direct home loans.
