The week was marked by snow storms delaying Grain Dealers' convention travel and routes. Curlew Iowa Feb 3 John Heldt suffered a severe injury when a blow torch exploded striking his mouth. He required ten stitches to close the wounds and one tooth was knocked loose.
The program lists a Father and Son Banquet at the M E Church on February 9 with a morning choir singing Handel's Messiah and Christ the Beautiful Saviour. A sub district musical contest follows next Monday night with choirs from Laurens Havelock Ware ayre Community and features several acts and honorees.

Events include Emmetsburg visitors, a postponed Ruthven basketball game, and a wrestling match delay between Eagle Grove and Graettinger.
Judge F. C. Davidson was ill for most of the week and could not preside at Estherville until Wednesday morning. Friends report he is able to return to duty.
L Hoppins of Ames, who installed most meters for Emmetsburg Municipal Light Plant, writes from Des Moines about a fall onto 2300 volt wires last August. He suffered third degree burns to his right arm and spent weeks in Town Lutheran hospital. He hopes to regain work soon and sends best wishes for a Happy New Year.
Estherville singer Loveland broadcast vocal selections Sunday afternoon on a Sioux Falls radio station. Miss Edna Baker of Estherville accompanied him at the piano for the program.
