The sermon was preached by Rev Henry Robbins Shenandoah with readings by Rev Robert Holzhammer Iowa Falls and Rev Paul Davis Sioux City. The bishop's chaplain was Rev James Gundnim Denison. Presented by Rev Eldin Lougee.

Sheriff Dick Miller's office reported a two car crash Monday at 9 45 p m at North Broadway and Seventh streets Emmetsburg. No injuries but about 200 dollars in property damage. James Nolan 22 a farmer near Emmetsburg in a Ford driven by Ed Nolan northbound. Eastbound Mr and Mrs W F Lewis in a Chevrolet traveling about 25 mph. The Lewis car crossed.
West Bend Office Opened by Palo Alto County Attorney
John J. Dubigg, Palo Alto county attorney, opened a part time law office in West Bend. He plans to be there on Saturdays only, it was announced.

Smoke Damages West Bend Paper
A fire damaged flooring and produced smoke at the West Bend Journal offices on a Wednesday morning last week. Editor Elmer Cole arrived to find the building filled with smoke and helped extinguish the blaze with a fire extinguisher as West Bend fire department responded to the incident.
