Emmetsburg High to Stage Babes in Arms Musical
Emmetsburg High School to present the musical Babes in Arms as part of spring activities. The production features music by Michard Rogers and lyrics by Lorenz Hart and runs April 10 and 11. Five staff members supervise: Ellis Anderson, Mary Kass, Dan Baughman, Leta Dinges, and Darrell Dibben. Tryouts are February 5–9 and tickets go on sale March 1.

Record admissions reach 350 at Palo Alto hospital

Internationally Known Choir To Present Concert

March Of Dimes Plans Second Jackrabbit Hunt Sunday
March of Dimes hosts a second jackrabbit and fox hunt in the Depew area following a first event at Bill Herke farm near Graettinger. Andrew Vandervelde urges hunters from the region to meet at Norm's Truck Stop west of Emmetsburg on Highway 17 at 1:30 p.m. Proceeds from jackrabbit sales and fox bounties benefit the March of Dimes. about 50 to 60 hunters joined the first event, with one fox killed.

Adolph G Jahn 72, longtime Emmetsburg retailer, died suddenly Tuesday in St Petersburg Florida from a heart attack. Funeral at Milne Mortuary Sumner Iowa Monday at 1 pm with pallbearers from Emmetsburg Spencer and nearby towns. He and his wife Lynda and daughter Margaret had spent summers in Sumner and St Petersburg for about 14 years.
