Frank Peebles suffered a broken arm when a mule knocked him down while he performed chores in the barn at Henry Lammers place east of Graettinger. He had come from Mallard to work. The accident left him bruised with a broken arm. Local Presbytery plans noted with FE H Moore named to chair Fort Dodge Presbytery campaign for a national pension fund.
President Swanton of the Emmetsburg Community club received a hometown Brodhead Wiscon sin newspaper claiming Coolidge would spend his summer vacation in the state. AP reporters contacted Washington and learned no such selection would occur for at least another month.

The Gilmore Cement factory opened at the start of the week and employs twenty men. Daily output includes fifteen cars of lime stone shipped from the site. The plant will not produce cement during the current year.
Reporter meets David Millea returning from S U S hospital at Iowa City. Right hand thumb remains after cancer started on the back of the hand. Millea, 75, says hospital crowded with two beds per room. Sister Miss Nefstead and two daughters of Mr and Mrs W E Jackman assist in care. Millea is gaining flesh after his operation and will have X rays soon.
Last week R. C. Bever was arrested at Milford for selling Minnesota pickerel without a license. Officers confiscated several hundred pounds of his catch and delivered the fish to Spencer hospital.
