Photographic supply house blast kills and injures in Philadelphia
A collision of collodion caused a violent explosion at Thomas Mr. Mo Collin & Co. on South Eleventh Street destroying the building and damaging adjacent premises. One man died Herman Weiss aged 19 and four others were seriously injured including George W. Nichols and August M. Hauser. Over 100 people were in the nearby factory when the blast occurred, with total damages about 76000 dollars and hospital fire risk narrowly contained.
