Register And Leader Consolidation Announced
In Des Moines June 20 George F. E. Roberts announces the consolidation of The Des Moines Leader with The Register to appear as The Register and Leader. Articles of incorporation name The Register and Leader Company with $200,000 capital. Roberts to head editorial, Straus secretary treasurer, Allan Dawson to stay temporarily, and Harvey Ingham remains associate editor. The morning AP franchises will be used, and daily publication is planned.
