Wage dispute ends with $28 judgment in Nodell case
In Justice Nicholsons court a farm labor wage dispute was resolved with a counterclaim in Newell's favor. The hired man, who worked March to November at twenty two and a half dollars monthly, quit in July when daily wages rose. Newell sued for damages and won about 28 dollars, signaling farmers' rights under contract when workers quit early.
