Woman Charged With Attempted Arson In Water Street Fire
Buckeport resident Maud Har was arrested by Night Officer Lord after allegedly trying to set fire to the Ellsworth exchange on Water Street. Witness B Doyle says he saw her in the act and a water bucket was used to combat the blaze. Buildings owned by A D Stuart and run by Mrs S A Moore were involved. Maud Har was arraigned in Mee Hall court and held on $500 bond for appearance in April term.
