George H. Grant of the city returns from a large party’s exploratory trip through the West. The five state itinerary included Chicago Hot Springs South Dakota Black Hills Lead City Deadwood and Denver with a four horse coach ride down a mountain side and mint visits. Grant reports vast landscapes rich mining towns and a safe return home last week.

The Moore reunion committee will meet at Geo S Moore's Brimmer's Bridge on Saturday evening November 8. Pred Gerry and Arthur Quinn, summer residents of Bar Harbor, returned home Sunday and depart for Berlin N H for winter. Mrs Carrie Nickerson, Miss Mattie Jordan, A T Mudgett and Albert Yeaton of Bangor spent Sunday with local friends returning on the evening train.

Associated Charities Plan and Winter Work
Trustees of the public library provide the second floor utility building room for Associated Charities this winter. The room will be open on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 2 to 6 PM starting November 8, with the society members in charge. The group notes there is still clothing available from last winter and requests donations on Tuesday or Saturday afternoons or by leaving word for pickup. County commissioners offered the grand jury room at the courthouse for monthly meetings on the first Monday at 3 PM. An annual US egg supply exceeds 709,690,000 dozen, with value comparable to gold and mine output.
