The U S topographical survey of Maine will continue this year with work starting around May 15. Legislation provided 5000 dollars plus a similar grant from the general government for two years. The 432 square mile mapped area last year stretched from Bucksport to Bangor and parts of Hampden Winterport Frankfort and more and two sheets Bucksport and Orland were published.

After washing and distending the stomach with air, fifty rapid pictures are taken in ten to fifteen minutes. The apparatus rotates to image all mucous membrane areas. Images are cherry stone size, expandable in scale.
