Class Prophecy 1901 Visits Chicago Kineto Pictures
In June 1910 I visited my classmate Winfred in Chicago who showed a kineto graph with scenes from Ellsworth high school classmates. The images depict Martin the contractor in Boston, Sarah with a Mexican husband, Charles on a western ranch, Jennie now Hurley, Lucy the opera singer, Ralph the Speaker, a prison scene, Leonleo painting, Bessie in a conservatory, Morris coaching Harvard football, a suffrage lecture, Harriet teaching a German school, Clarice performing a mission wedding, and finally a class scene at Ellsworth. The tour ends with notes on Ethel Allen, Ethel Rowe, Martha, Bernice, Maude, and the narrator returning to Portland.

Not for Ourselves Alone A Valedictory Reflection
A valedictory address extols living not for oneself but for others, urging unselfish aims and steady preparation for crises. It cites Nelson and Davy as models, honors teachers and the school, and thanks superintendent, board, and classmates as students embark on life's voyage with gratitude and resolve.
