Great Day for Democrats as Bryan Visits Maine
Maine Democrats hailed a big day when William Jennings Bryan toured Portland Augusta and Bangor drawing 3500 to 4000 people. He appeared with Hon. B Gould Democratic candidate for governor Hon. Charles Hamlin of Boston and Sen. W Carmack of Tennessee. Bryan promised to be Maine’s next governor and urged party unity while criticizing Republicans on trusts reciprocity with Cuba and policy toward Filipinos.
