Government Tripper Shot at Haller Government
Slate McDonald a known government tripper was accidentally killed yesterday evening near Etburz. He rode out with a coyote being attacked by a large Russian wolfhound his constant companion. McDonald likely struck the dog with a rifle butt and the weapon discharged wounding him fatally. The dog led rescuers to the spot where McDonald lay with the hound nearby. The rifle and a coyote carcass were found nearby. Coroner’s findings led to burial instructions to bury the body at Oakland. Deceased was unmarried and about 30 years old.
