Ger 24 Wil Gallagher of Upper Attatin fights a rabid lynx while loading wood in his yard. Gallagher hits the animal with an ax, seeks help, and with one cartridge nearby, both he and a Sheriff’s aide shoot the lynx through a shed window, killing it. The kill reveals porcupine quills and signs of disease.
