Fall Trial Court No Action Convenes Nigo sian Case Opens

The first case heard involved Telesforo Petarro charged with murder at the Star Hotel in Elko. petition for continuance denied as witnesses reportedly in California. Tuscarora Pioneer Dies After Long Tenure in Town

G F Zweifel, a Tuscarora pioneer who helped build the town during boom days of five thousand residents, died at eight this morning. He lived in Tuscarora for 35 years and hoped for revival. Survived by his wife and relatives, he will be buried in the Tuscarora cemetery at one o'clock Wednesday.

Pan Americans Adjourn After Recognizing Carranza

The Pan American conference adjourned after agreeing that Carranza be recognized. Delegates noted Carranza’s representative Arredona would handle the matter in his own way as the Washington meeting closed.

Gasoline steamer Alliance wrecked near Point Arena

The gasoline steamer Alliance I ran on rocks twelve miles north of Point Arena California. Eight aboard, including two women, perished after reaching a rock pile. Lifesavers rescued others in fog as the ship crumpled. Lena Miller of Vancouver was found dead and Raphael Medina, a Mexican, was rescued alive. One other man was believed to be alive lost at sea.
