British troops formed a semicircle around Bourlon Wood and Bourlon village as they pressed German defenders. The struggle continued through the hamlet with fierce resistance and front-line advances, and the village was gradually cleared of most German forces.
Nevada public and high school teachers in towns with exemption bonds headquarters will be offered wartime clerical work. State Supt. Bray will ask for volunteers to assist local boards with mailing questionnaires and transferring records to new forms under latest regulations.
