County Road Board Proceedings in Elko Nevada 1917
The Elko County Road Board met with H J Jones W M Weaters E P Carville and S Shirley as road supervisor. Representatives Kendall and Dowing urged a joint US county effort funded by 750 from the county and 750 from the US to complete the Jarbidge Charlestown project survey. the board agreed to set aside 750 for January 1918 and to seek a supplemental US contribution. The board also moved to advertise for a forty foot steel beam bridge bid with five beams to open November 17, 1917.
