Santa Rosa Forest Lands Classified in Nevada
The Santa Rosa National Forest in Humboldt County Nevada will complete land classification about July 1 under Forest Ranger W. S. Kalbaugh. The initial phase separates non agricultural lands, with agricultural value lands reserved for intensive later classification by the Forest Service with help from the Bureau of Soils. The program, authorized by the 1912 act, aims to remove lands chiefly valuable for agriculture from the forest, advancing toward full agricultural access.

A Teuton submarine sank the British steamer Washington bound from Genoa to England. The 5080 ton vessel, 376 feet long, built in 1907, was reportedly sunk yesterday. Four Injured When Auto Turns Turtle Near Kimberly Idaho
