Washington reports indicate Entente powers and the United States may entrust Japan with the task of countering German influence in Siberia and protecting Vladivostok. No final decision has been announced as factors in the problem rapidly change with ongoing diplomatic discussions.
In a Carson City letter dated February 27 1918 Judge P A McCarran chief justice of the Nevada supreme court announces he will not pursue the United States Senate nomination. The Boyd Corporation of Twin Falls today awarded judgment against the Fairly Development Company in a dispute heard by Judge Taber. Attorney Kinney of Twin Falls attended the proceedings.
