A caller told the police to look outside the building and they found a murdered man beneath a window. Investigators theorize the victim was slain elsewhere and moved to the station area shortly before discovery.

Husband of Grace Lusk Victim Faces Trial in Milwaukee
Dr. David Roberts of Waukesha faces trial in Milwaukee on charges of violating state statutes connected to visits with Grace Lusk on April 4 and 21, 1918. Lusk was recently convicted of murdering Mrs. Harry Newman Roberts, the doctor’s wife, and Roberts has pleaded not guilty after a preliminary hearing. District Attorney W. C. Zabel said there can be no one sided justice.
