THE PROFITEERING SPIRIT AND THE DRAFT DISCUSSION
The piece argues for strict action against profiteering in war work and endorses fair pricing by producers serving the government. It reflects on the new draft, noting waves of Elko soldiers departing, mixed emotions, and hope for safe returns, while praising soldiers who will shape the nation’s future. It also assesses the future of airplane mail, comparing early aviation risks to automobiles and stressing the challenges of reliable aircraft operations.
