Blizzard Loads Chicago Streets With Snow Chaos

Chicago faced one of its worst blizzards as winds of up to 60 mph battered the city for 26 hours. Vehicles blocked streets, trains halted, and downtown shoveling crews worked to clear the snow. Two deaths were reported and many injuries, with about seventy five fires during the storm and Lake Michigan navigation effectively suspended. The city slowly began to dig out as temperatures dropped to 19 degrees above zero.

S. F. Attorney Takes Henderson's Practice

Walter Vane a prominent San Pram attorney arrived this morning to enter the law out Senator Henderson who will part early next week for Washington to assume his official duties Vane has eleven years with the Western Pacific railroad real department and plans to make his home here His wife and two children will follow soon Henderson intended to report from Washington but received a letter from Governor Bayle suggesting he cut his trip to hold a conference on a case with Nevada He will go to Reno today spend Friday and Saturday and expects to return Sunday then depart for Washington
