Excavation has begun on the Mayer block site beside the Mayer hotel in Elko. A three story brick building will replace the old frame structure, with a store on the ground floor and offices above. The project mirrors the Mayer Hotel line and the Simcox Garage, and the Bangs family will move to the Mayer Hotel once the wrecking is completed.
