Old Stage Robbery at Jarbidge Ends in Searcy Death

A stage running from Roger son Idaho to Jarbidge was robbed near the town, driver F M Searcy was killed by a rifle shot. Two mail sacks rifled and another carried away, about five thousand dollars believed stolen. The killer reportedly fled into a canyon. authorities sent guards to roads and trails, with a blood soaked overcoat and mail matter recovered. The U S Postal Inspectors and sheriff’s office are investigating.

Diaz Located Raising Army to Invade Mexico

Secretary of State Lansing announced that Felix Diaz, Carranza rival, has been located in Guatemala after months of searching. He is said to have raised an army of ten thousand men and plans to march into Mexico to spark a new revolution. The inquiry began last summer amid reports he funded Villa with money and munitions.

Five Prisoners for Penitentiary

Five prisoners were turned over to penitentiary officers yesterday. Nye County Sheriff Charles Slavin arrived with Charles Comis ford, sentenced from 10 years to life for murder of B. W. Edith Colby a Thompson Falls reporter was found guilty of second degree murder for shooting A. C. Thomas a Montana politician. The jury deliberated about twelve hours.
