Elko Nevada August 19 1915 a new Lone Mountain strike yields assay results per ton of 2000 pounds with gold ounces value and silver value totaling 1117 74 dollars Sample No 2 shows 1117 74 and the report notes the discovery on the east side of Lone Mountain near the Donna Roma claim and adjacent leases controlled by Alaska Improvement and others with high grade ore and extensive staking surrounding the discovery.

Deadly wreck on the Western Pacific near Halleck
The worst Salt Lake division wreck in memory occurred last evening two miles east of Halleck. Passenger train No. 1 derailed after a baggage car left the rail, with 230 aboard. many injured, including Harry Newman with a crushed jaw, and a long list of other bruises and fractures. A relief train rushed to aid, doctors treated the injured, and several passengers aided others as shock wore off. No deaths reported.

James I. Holland, state manager, delivered a $1,000 check to Hayden Henderson administrator of Roman Yraguen’s estate at Jack Creek Nevada. Yraguen died after being shot July 19 1915 at the Star Hotel Elko with proofs of death filed two hours earlier.
