Pearley Mickle receives five years to life and sterilization in state prison for an outrageous crime in Elko last Tuesday. The court orders the sentence after testimony detailing the assault and its impact on the victim.

Opening September first two weeks from Wednesday a new first class wholesale and retail liquor store will operate in Elko. The Elko Liquor Company owned by Mr. Max Gussaroff will run from 336 Commercial Street in the Booker building. The store will stock staple goods and a wide selection of wines beers and liquors catering to family trade with prompt delivery and out of town orders considered.

Nevada papers tout the Elko rodeo September six to eleven with six days of rough riding and bronco busting.
