John Kaneen, senior Past Grand Master I, C. O. F., of Nevada and member of Virginia Lodge No. 1, was honored in San Rafael by Marin Lodge No. 191 F. and A. M. at his sixteenth anniversary as a Mason. R Wells and James Steel escaped Clark county jail on April 8 after an assault on the under sheriff. Wells was captured about 60 miles from Las Vegas by an Arizona deputy sheriff, while Steel was captured near Las Vegas shortly after the escape.

Japanese Warships Ordered Home From Pacific Waters

Washington April 20 Japan ordered all warships in Pacific waters near American coasts to return to home stations, except the wrecked cruiser Asama in Turtle Bay.
