James Horridge Jr aged about 65 to 70 fell at his Cleveland avenue Ninth street home yesterday afternoon. He struck his left side on a mortar bed edge and broke a floating rib near the spine. Dr. Thomas reports him resting easy today.

Burke Cochran to Speak in South Bend Oct 6

Burke Cochran, noted Democrat, plans several Indiana speeches and will visit South Bend on Thursday Oct 6. He will not speak in the open air and the town lacks a hall large enough to seat one in ten who wish to see him. The situation is regretted.

Dr. Short dressed wounds of Samuel Wesco an employee at Kimbark's after an accident on the sand belt yesterday afternoon. A two inch square section of skin was torn from his left forearm.

A Much Married Woman and Her Sixth Husband

Mrs. Fowler of this city married last January for the sixth time and five of the marriages ended with the husband's death two years from each wedding day. Her present husband, who had chronic jaundice for four months, was nearly given up by four physicians until Sulphur Bitters revived him. He joked that Mrs. Fowler might not find a seventh better half soon.
