Frank M. and Harry Murphy of Indianapolis sue Joshua and Levi Johnson in circuit court on account seeking $500. They are grain dealers represented by Davis & Davis. Henry W. Hixon sues Samuel H. Eldridge on note seeking $80, Davis & Davis also represent him. Special Judge Lou W. Vail grants Fannie Chamberlin a divorce from Charles Chamberlin and custody of their two children.
Indiana members oppose funding the rate increase campaign. Head camp suspends Lecturer amid a sharp debate narrowing to a plan favored by majority. Cleveland youths Paul Wringle Albert Grave John Guyer William Yochow and John Keyske arraigned in LaPorte circuit court pleaded guilty to looting a Lake Shore freight car of merchandise. Judge Fichter will impose sentence today. Several defendants are of good parentage and were apprehended tried and convicted within twenty four hours.

Mr and Mrs Ed Walley picked nearly a quart of large sweet strawberries Saturday at Chris Diener s place three miles south of the city. Diener says he has been picking berries all season and plans to cultivate them next fall. He warns berries must be covered before the first frost.

Mishawaka banker BE. T. Clark was assaulted and robbed near Peoria and Van Buren in Chicago. Four men Frank Nunsey John Norton John Vanderberg and Thomas Wyckoff were arrested after Clark identified them. valuables stolen included $16, a $60 diamond scarf pin and a gold watch and chain.
Wilkesbarre October 21 The coal strike ends as the miners in convention accept arbitration and vote to return to work Thursday morning. President Mitchell declares no dissent and urges unity. The resolution is sent to Roosevelt and a full resumption of work is planned with engineers firemen pumpmen foremen and other key workers returning tomorrow.
