A side collision occurred at 2:30 am in Lake Shore yards near the West End Y between engine No 95 and engine No 38 pulling the LaPearl circus train. Both engines damaged and sent to the round house for days of repairs. Investigations begun to assign blame. The circus train was en route to South Bend. Rash Bike Rider Crashes on Jackson Street Near Bucklen Hotel
Miss Belle Carr of West Jackson Street was knocked unconscious after colliding with a stranger on a colored wheel on Jackson Street near the Bucklen Hotel about 11 PM. The rider on the wrong side caused the crash and fled. Earlier, hardware dealer A O Keene was injured in a similar collision on Jackson Street with the same wheelman. Detectives tended Carr and Keene. both suffered facial injuries, with Carr regaining consciousness en route home. The stranger’s identity remains unknown.
