Gladys Pagwell aged seven was severely injured when a mowing hay blade severed one leg and cut the other on the Pogwell farm four miles from Fort Wayne. Mr and Mrs Hassler left in their automobile to reach the child's home after the accident.

Lake Shore Laborer Buried Five Hours at Coal Docks

E Berry of 319 James Street was entombed for about five hours when a fifty-ton coal car trapped him at the Lake Shore coal dock. He ate his lunch during the rescue and asked that his wife be notified only after he was freed. He emerged with only minor soreness and no serious injuries.
