Needle Buried in Flesh In Accidental Dressing Incident
Mrs William Horn of Goshen on the North Side pinned her dress with a needle and during a family romp was thrown against a wall driving the needle into her side. An attempt to remove it failed as the thread broke leaving the instrument embedded. Dr I J Beckner could not locate or extract the needle. The final outcome remains undetermined.

Death of Matilda Stuck at 42 in Middlebury Home
Matilda wife of Melvin Stuck died at 1000 Center Street Saturday afternoon after a several week illness. She was 42 and survived by her husband mother Mrs Brandt and sister May of Ariddlebury Street. Funeral service set for Tuesday at 2 pm from Castle U B church with Rev Eliay officiating. Friends may view the remains today between 9 and 11.

Cornelius Jr. five months old son of Mr and Mrs Cornelius Hoogenboom of Goshen was found dead in bed by his mother at 6 39 Saturday morning. He had suffered a severe attack of bronchitis but was not thought to be dangerously ill.

Attorney W J Davis of Goshen traveled to Chicago to examine David R Miller once of Elkhart now in South Chicago who filed a bankruptcy petition with large liabilities and scant assets. Miller has 50000 in South Chicago property held in his sister Mary Ethel Miller Harvey’s name. her husband works for Chicago Evening Journal and Detroit Free Press. The hearing was delayed by a physician’s affidavit claiming Miller could not attend. Davis and his firm claim Miller and his sister are trying to dodge scrutiny and a search is underway to locate Harvey.

Prisoner Bound Over in Horse Theft Case
