Worker loses three fingers in wood cutter accident at Elkhart plant
Yesterday afternoon William Kern, an employee of the Elkhart Carriage and Harness Manufacturing Co., badly cut off the last three fingers of his left hand on a Universal wood cutter. Dr. Thomas amputated the fingers and Kern is reported as doing well today. The injury was attributed to carelessness.

A Lucky Accident During Rabbit Hunt
Monday Jake Myers and Frank Garl of Osolo entertained William Christlieb of Ohio. A rabbit treed in a rail pile. Garl fired a revolver. The bullet glanced off a rail and embedded in Myers's cheekbone, flattening the bullet. A hit to another part could have been serious.
