George H White born August 14 1850 Summit County Ohio dies December 5 1896 at his Washington township Elkhart County Indiana home. He leaves a widow Amanda J Delo three children and two brothers. An earnest church member he joined Zion Lutheran in 1888 and supported Knights of Maccabees with a 2000 endowment policy to his wife. Funeral held December 7 at Zion with Maccabee ceremony at the grave. He owned about 200 acres in Osolo and Washington townships plus personal property and life insurance for his family.

Joseph Ross, a 32 year old Walkerton resident and itinerant worker, was found dead on railroad tracks in Walkerton on Tuesday. Authorities deem the death accidental with no foul play expected, as Ross may have been crossing the rails when the fatal train struck. He leaves a dependent wife and child.
