Fatal Shafting Accident at Bristol Board Mill
Charles Books, 26, known as Nig or Chan, was killed at 8:55 AM in the Bristol Board and Paper Mill when his shirt caught on a shaft in the shafting room. He was dragged into the drive shaft, his limbs torn and neck broken, dying five minutes later. He leaves a wife and one son Harold, and lived with his brother on McPherson Street. Funeral is set for Castle U B church at 2 PM Tuesday after services at home.

November deaths and health measures in Elkhart
