Storms Forecast Across Continent With Strong Cold Wave
Prof. Foster predicts a storm crossing the country from August 27 to 31 and another from September 2 to 6 with unusual force. As it moves off the North Atlantic around the 7th and 8th it should bring relief to drought areas and steadier rains. Grand Master Sweeney Attacked During Strike Altercation
In Buffalo this forenoon Grand Master Sweeney was assaulted during a clash with striking switchmen. The assailant named Quinn beat him about the head in a violent confrontation. In CubicaGo a locomotive plunged through a bridge at Dixenburg Pennsylvania. Reports say several railroad men are dead or fatally injured.
