He came to Mishawaka in 1838, co founded Niles & Miller, led the St Joseph Iron Company, and helped form the St Joseph Manufacturing Company with his son and brother. His death provokes widespread sorrow among business and church communities. The funeral will be held at the Episcopal Church in Mishawaka on Thursday at 10:30 AM, with Bishop Talbot of Indianapolis likely officiating.
