Will choose county superintendent in Goshen next Monday at 4 PM among Ellis or Moyer and Weaver as candidates. Per diem $4.50, yearly salary $1,400 to $1,600. Ellis has held the post twenty years.
Secretary of health reports twenty nine city deaths for May with four bodies brought in. Diphtheria two cases, scarlet fever eight, measles sixty three, smallpox ten. Sixty seven quarantines, twelve remaining. Death rate seventeen and two fifths per thousand yearly. Last smallpox quarantine to end Monday for Holly family at 1207 South Main Street.
