Witness Describes Dock Scene in Annis Murder Trial
Mrs Helen H Annis testified in the Thornton J Hains trial charging him as accessory to the murder of her husband William E Annis. She said Captain Peter C Hains pointed a pistol at her back as she ran to the dock and that she cried out in joy when her husband’s boat won the race moments before the killing.
