Seventieth Anniversary Celebration At Local Church

The church marked seventy years with two addresses by Rev J B Ferguson and Rev J A Blanvalt of Roselle Presbyterian Church. Services included communion, Sunday school rally, and a consecration of the Christian Endeavor Society. The early history recalled the 1830 organization of First Congregational Church and the remote wooden building on Second Street, with details of its founding pastor and early members.

Bryan to Speak Here Weeks of October 10

Mrs Day Dying of Hydrophobia After Dog Bite

Mrs Harvey Day of 16 Cherry street is dying from hydrophobia after six weeks since a bull terrier bite. Dr H A Buck treated her with Pasteur therapy to prevent rabies. She could not swallow and air water caused spasms. she is now near death. Mr Day and neighbor Mrs Doty also were bitten but show no rabies symptoms.

Burglary arrest after stone-throwing at Brown’s Hotel window
