Shortly after 3 yesterday afternoon the ambulance from Alexian Hospital, being driven along Elisa beth avenue, was struck in the rear by trolley car 508 near South Street. Ambulance employee William Pender, who had been taken faint, struck his head and suffered a deep gash. he remained at the hospital in a sick condition.

He was a member of several societies and leaves a wife, three sons and one daughter. Mrs Katherine Jarvis died this morning at 3230 West Grand Street from acute Bright's disease. Funeral arrangements include services by Rev John R. Atkinson at the Trinity Church manse.
