Revolver Explodes in Jersey City Teacher's Hand
Principal Hopkins of the high school narrowly escaped injury when a small homemade revolver discharged in his office. A student found the four inch metal instrument under a gym bar and handed it to the principal who was at a telephone. The bullet tore into a desk drawer, with students in the corridor nearby. Authorities seeking the boy who handed and the one who dropped the device have not identified them.

Perth Amboy, March 20. Cornelius P. Convery, former postmaster under Cleveland and current Perth Amboy city treasurer, formally announces his candidacy for the Democratic nomination for Congress in the Third district. A Perth Amboy native, he has led Middlesex county Democratic activities for thirty years and has long been active in state and congressional campaigns.
