The January term opens with Judge Bergen presiding and Orcutt sworn as Grand Jury foreman. Clerk Bert J. Eaton receives a salary increase to 450 as Profe ssor Swift cites heavier duties. The Union Township Committee heard a protest against ending stage service between Colonial avenue trolley terminal and the city. Citizens urged Morris County Traction Co to provide stage rides until the trolley extension finishes. Miss Mary DeHart of 1081 East Jersey Street received a letter yesterday from Miss May Sherman describing Taormina Sicily before the catastrophe.
