Rosie Aug 14 190? a Lithuanian servant girl employed by Mr. and Mrs. Tevlin of 252 First Avenue was found dead in her room from gas asphyxiation. Fire and police identified the victim as Tanbelle Anellia, a 19 year old who had recently arrived from Elizabeth. The room was discovered with the gas jet open after the girl’s employer, Miss Tevlin, called at 6:20 am and opened the door. The body was removed by Marquehoeper Knige and Sedam with Dr. H C Pierson noting death occurred around 5:20 am. The girl had been sent by Mrs Theodore Von Joulin of 208 First Avenue Elizabeth, a cousin to the deceased, who said the girl’s name was Tanbelle Anellia and that she had a child. She had been in the country about five years and had worked in various shops in Elizabeth.
