Elgin Iowa Considers Electric Franchise With Central States Power
Town council of Elgin Fayette County Iowa waives notice for a September 17 1935 special meeting to discuss granting Central States Power and Light a 15 year electric franchise and entering into street lighting and municipal pumping contracts. The meeting adopts Ordinance 172 and approves contracts for street lighting and pumping energy and sets a November 6 1935 referendum.
