University Hospitals discounts criticized by governor
Gov Harold Hughes says the state board of regents should end discretionary discounts at University Hospitals given to persons beyond university students faculty and staff. A report shows 20 town officials including 11 legislators received 1177 in discounts between Feb 24 1962 and Apr 6 1963. Hughes argues university connections justify curbs and urges discounts limited to university members.
