East of Town Road In Fair Condition For Now
The newly graded road east of town remains fairly good except a short stretch between the river bridge and the mill. River silt prevents proper settlement and the surface will improve with time. Some crushed rock has been added but travelers still use the side road. Heavy rains have washed holes in high banks needing repair before resurfacing, work expected late fall. County surveyors have inspected the grade, likely required before settlement with the contractor.
